Dissertation: Reassessing the impacts of 12th- and 13th-century volcanic eruptions upon Northern Hemisphere climates.


PostDoc since February 2017.

Research interests •  Dendrochronology: Development of millennium-long tree-ring chronologies

•  Dendroclimatology: De-trending, tree-ring-based climate reconstructions

•  Dendrogeomorphology: Tree-ring based reconstructions of avalanche activity

• Environmental history: Exposure, vulnerability and resilience of human societies to climate- and weather-related disasters

•  Historical climatology: Climate reconstructions using historical records (Europe, Asia)
•  Paleoclimatology: Large-scale multi-proxy reconstructions over the Holocene.
